I tried putting Peanut's owl pillow on her chair to stop him from sleeping in it...obviously nothing stops the Pumba when the Pumba wants something...he is sleeping right on top of the owl!

Done!
I decided to solder the jumprings closed - that way the pendants won't come off the chains. It's a step I tend to skip for myself, but better do it right for others.

Practice plique a jour...
An Enameling technique where you fill open areas with transparent enamel...much much harder than it appears. I picked a challenge for a first time project- curved surfaces (like these domed circles) are not easy. Melted glass doesn't like to just sit there and behave that way...I had to fire these many times, gradually adding wet enamel to build up the layer. I used copper bc it was only practice, but it doesn't make the enamel sparkle like fine silver or gold. Next project will be silver! I'm hooked!

Necklaces for the girls...
Turned out pretty well, but I couldn't take good pics of them with my camera phone. They are enamel over copper with fine silver cloisonne wire as the initials. I am super excited about Tessa's - red colors often burn out (turning brownish black) very easily - this one is perfect!
Eve's is a deep turquoise that really looks pretty in the light as does Sophia's (a peacock green). Sarah's is orchid colored - a medium opaque purple. Just have to put them on chains and they are done!
